     Baan Dalaa by Angkana is an all-day dining restaurant – serving Southern Thai cuisine, along with Western brunch menu, dessert, and crafted beverages. Our executive chef ‘Annie’ Angkana creates delicacies that reflect her deep connection to Koh Phangan, her hometown, and her culinary passion. 

     Baan means ‘home’ in Thai, while Dalaa is a Thai name for Torch Ginger flower – a flower that blooms widely across the southern region of Thailand. Baan Dalaa by Angkana, thus, represents a bond between Chef Annie and Dalaa flower – a bond between woman and flower.

     Situated in the heart of Bangkok close to Siam area – the busiest shopping district in town, Baan Dalaa by Angkana is a colonial-style century-old house, revitalized and transformed to accommodate the metropolitan lifestyle. Combining classic Thai ivory exterior with modern tropical decorative interior, we want to create a warm and comforting dining ambience; suitable for guests of every age and occasion.

     Baan Dalaa by Angkana comprises food and beverage services and event function spaces
with a guest capacity up to 180 pax, perfect for various purposes such as, family gatherings, bachelorette parties, corporate dinners, product launches, workshop sessions,
company-partner meetings, commercial shooting, engagement-wedding ceremony, etc.

ANNIE ANGKANA

     Chef Annie, Angkana Iamsaard, a Master’s graduate in gastronomy management of Dusit Thani College, has engrossed herself in the culinary world and participated in various food happenings across Thailand.

       Combining her knowledge and passion; bringing the best cooking techniques of both Asian and Western cuisines, Chef Annie creates dishes that resonate with herself, as a Phangan-born person who grew up in Thai-Chinese culture and as a person spent more than half a decade working in the U.S. She also promotes food sustainability and always raises awareness about zero waste practices.
